WSP Seeks Info on Hit-and-Run in Yakima County

On July 13, 2026, at approximately 3:20 a.m., a hit-and-run collision occurred on eastbound Interstate 82 in Yakima County, just south of Union Gap. Luis Vazquez Del Angel, who was walking eastbound in or near the eastbound lanes, was struck from behind by a vehicle that fled the scene without stopping.
