🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Whatcom County Emergency Management implemented a county-wide Stage 2 burn ban effective July 17 at 8 a.m. The ban prohibits all outdoor burning and remains in effect until further notice.

The burn ban applies to all areas within Whatcom County, including Bellingham, and covers activities such as campfires, bonfires, and debris burning. No exceptions are noted in the official announcement.
