SR 169 to close for fish barrier removal

State Route 169 will close both directions between Southeast 332nd Street and Plass Road near Jones Lake starting at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, for 35 days.

The closure, effective through Sept. 21, is for fish barrier removal work. WSDOT states local access north and south of the closure remains open, and businesses along SR 169 will stay accessible. Signed detours will guide drivers around the work zone.

Other roadwork includes nightly closures on I-405 and SR 203, with the latter running through Aug. 28. The SR 161 closure near Bellingham will begin Aug. 7 for culvert installation.
