Squalicum High School swimmer Soleil Rubido placed 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 2A state swim and dive meet with a time of 1 minute, 15.07 seconds last season.
Rubido, a freshman, also placed 16th in the 200-yard individual medley and 20th in the 400-yard freestyle relay. She expressed disappointment at not placing in the top eight but aims to improve her times this season with the support of her teammates and experience from the Bellingham Bay Swim Team, where she began swimming at age 8.
