RCMP officers are searching for 28-year-old Kayla Boisvert, last seen at the Shambhala Music Festival near Salmo, British Columbia, on July 27. She was last observed around 2:15 a.m. on Monday, July 28, and reported missing the following day.
Boisvert, a 6-foot-tall Black woman with black hair and long blonde braids, was wearing a blue head scarf, a red panda graphic T-shirt, and multicolored scarves when last seen. Police are searching a forested area near the festival grounds, joined by her twin sister and family members. The festival confirmed it is assisting with the search. The Shambhala Music Festival is located less than 30 miles from the U. S.-Canada border in Eastern Washington, near Bellingham.
