Meal Balance Notifications Begin Sept. 16

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Bellingham Public Schools will begin sending weekly email notifications to parents with student meal accounts showing negative balances over $5 starting Wednesday, Sept. 16. The notification system, described in a Sept. 11 district message, aims to help families track meal debt. Parents can view balances through Skyward Family Access or pay online via the district's payments webpage. Cash or check payments are also accepted at school cafeterias. The district's meal policy states that households certified for free or reduced-price meals later in the school year will not need to repay previously accrued debt. Families qualifying for meal benefits can apply through the Food Services webpage to potentially eliminate existing debt.
