I-405, US 12, SR 508 closed for repairs

Multiple Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) projects will impact travel in the Bellingham area this week. From 8 p.m. Tuesday through 4:30 a.m. Friday, one eastbound lane of SR 522 will close nightly between Campus Way Northeast and 131st Avenue Northeast. Additionally, a single lane of US 12 over I-5 will close nightly from 7:30 p.m. Monday through 6 a.m. Thursday for bridge repairs.

I-405 will see multiple closures: the left express toll lane northbound between Northeast 160th Street and SR 527 will close nightly from 8:30 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Friday, while up to three southbound lanes between Coal Creek Parkway and milepost 7 will close nightly from 10:30 p.m. Monday to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. SR 508 will have alternating traffic with flaggers starting August 18. SR 9 will remain closed south of Mount Vernon Big Lake Road until 6 a.m. Wednesday for a fish passage project.
