The City of Bellingham announced new updates in its August 20, 2026, news roundup, including work on the Little Squalicum Estuary, revised parking rules, and a call for artists for the library. The estuary project aims to improve habitat and flood resilience, while parking changes will affect street parking on specific downtown streets. The library is seeking local artists for an upcoming exhibition.
The city's news roundup also noted the conclusion of its 'Ask Us Anything' series, which ran through August 2026. The city's website lists these updates as part of ongoing community engagement efforts. Residents are encouraged to review the full news roundup for details on each initiative.
