Beats on the Bay moves ashore for final show

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

The Community Boating Center announced it will move the final Beats on the Bay concert of the season ashore on Sept. 1 due to safety concerns. The nonprofit made the decision on Aug. 27, shifting indie pop musician Henry Mansfield's free show from the bay to Kulshan Trackside, where 10% of drink sales will support CBC's maritime programs. The event will run 6-7:30 p.m.

The move follows safety issues during the Aug. 25 concert, when winds forced the Schooner Zodiac and band The Pazific to relocate to Fairhaven Cove. Beats on the Bay drew about 2,000 attendees across four shows in 2025, with growing crowds this year lining up at Taylor Dock, Boulevard Park, and Harris Avenue to launch watercraft. CBC cited concerns about hundreds of neighbors paddling, dancing, and sharing boats as reasons for the change.
